Three soldiers killed in Pak mine blast

Three soldiers were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in was targeted with a mine planted by pro-Taliban militants in Pakistan`s volatile tribal region on Wednesday.

tribal region on Wednesday.
A convoy of security forces was on its way to Bara
sub-division of Khyber tribal region from Orakzai tribal
region when the vehicle hit the mine in Mamanrhay area,
intelligence sources said.

Security forces` convoys are often targeted by the
Taliban in the tribal belt bordering Afghanistan.
Though the convoys usually move during curfew, the
militants have continued to attack them.

Scores of security personnel have been killed in such
attacks.
