Training for terrorists comes from Pak: Hillary Washington: Expressing concern over series of arrests of US nationals as terror suspects, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said much of the training and direction for terrorists comes from Pakistan and the border area with Afghanistan.

"We know that much of the training and the direction for terrorists comes from Pakistan and the border area with Afghanistan," Hillary told reporters at the Foggy Bottom headquarters of the State Department.

It has always been a concern, Hillary said when asked about several cases of home grown terrorists in the country.

"We know we've got to work more closely with both Afghanistan and Pakistan to try to root out the infrastructure of terrorism that continues to recruit and train people who are willing to do what is alleged with Zazi, David Headley, and others in the recent cases that have come to light," Hillary said.

Headley, a US national of Pakistani origin was arrested by the FBI in October on charges of planning terrorist attacks in India and Mumbai.

The FBI in its charge-sheet filed this week has accused Headley of being involved in the Mumbai terrorist attacks.

"One of the reasons why President Obama made the decision which he announced last week with respect to our strategy going forward is because we continue to see a syndicate of terrorism that al Qaeda is, in effect, the head of that is not only an inspirational or ideological head, but providing funding and training and equipping and operational direction to a number of terrorist groups," Hillary said.

"And therefore, we will remain very vigilant at home," she said.

The recent developments shows that Pakistan is supporting the terrorism indirectly. They consider anti-India terrorists groups as assets and so they are trying to protect them. The action taken by the Pak government in the case of the Mumbai attack is an example to this. Even though India urged Pakistan several times to bring the terrorists before law, Pak government protects the terrorists by producing half baked evidences to the court. Moreover several times they had to agree that the government had failed in countering terrorism. The attack on the world trade center forced US to attack Afganistan, but India showed patience. Even though Pakistan is not cooperating sincerely with the investigation. The recent investigation by the Indian government also shows the existance of lots of terror camps in Pakistan.

Why always we see news about pakistan, and mostly these are in bad sense, why our media don`t promote peace between the countries?u knw by this all world is now thinking that our media is biased and anti pakistan, and no one now put any concentration. go and see the world, no one else our media say bad about other nations, please stop all these and try to difuse the tensions, but what you are doing is enhancing, why you don`t do the news like this about USA, RUSSIA and CHINA, because all or us are fear of them. you ppls have put pakistan on ur nerves, since last year they are saying that we are doing good things for hindustan, but why peace talks are not going to start with Pakistan?because it is our agencies` policy because they earn money by this. Please stop all this and be peaceful neighbours who support each other, not leg pulling, behave like europe.
