Ankara: A humanitarian foundation in Turkey has donated 85 homes to a Pakistani city devastated by floods in 2010 and 2011, the Anatolia news agency reported on Saturday.

The Humanitarian Aid Foundation donated the homes to Muzaffargarh city in Punjab province.

Each home has two rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, foundation official Huseyin Kaptan was quoted as saying by Xinhua.

In August 2010, more than 160,000 people received the UN emergency shelter and relief assistance in flood-hit areas of Pakistan. The organisation launched an initial $41- million appeal to meet the needs of 560,000 people affected by the disaster.
