Peshawar: Suspected militants gunned down two policemen and injured five others during an attack on the outskirts of the north-western Pakistani city on Saturday, officials said.
A group of about 10 suspected militants attacked a police patrol in Hayatabad area of Peshawar this evening.
Two constables were killed on the spot, officials said.
Two of the five injured policemen were reported to be in a serious condition, they said.
The attackers were believed to have fled to the nearby Khyber tribal region, officials said, adding that no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
