Two soldiers killed in blast in Pak

Militants have also blown up an under-construction school for girls in South Waziristan.

Islamabad: Two Pakistan Army soldiers were killed and another was injured when their vehicle was targeted with a remote-controlled bomb in the restive South Waziristan tribal region, according to a media report on Monday.
The Army vehicle was going from Sararogha to Janata area when it was hit by the bomb planted on the roadside, the Dawn newspaper quoted its sources as saying.

The dead and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

In a separate development, militants blew up an under-construction school for girls in Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan in the early hours yesterday.

The residents of the area said the building was damaged by the explosion.
