US civilian killed in Afghanistan

The American who was killed, worked as one of the corps` civilian employees.

Kabul: The US Army Corps of Engineers says that
an American who worked as one of the corps` civilian employees
has been killed in eastern Afghanistan.

A spokesman for the corps said today that the employee was
killed in Kabul province but declined to give further details.
Spokesman J D Hardesty says the incident is being
investigated.

NATO had previously said in a statement that a civilian
employee of the US Defense Department was killed in eastern
Afghanistan yesterday.
