US diplomats denied entry to Peshawar

A report said the diplomats were stopped from due to lack of travel documents.

Islamabad: Seven US diplomats were stopped from entering Pakistan`s Peshawar city due to lack of travel documents, a media report said.
The diplomats were travelling in three cars and didn`t have the No Objection Certificate mandatory for foreigners, Geo News reported. They were sent back to Islamabad.

The US embassy in Islamabad said it was evaluating the incident.

Geo TV said this was the fourth incident in the past week of foreigners being stopped for travelling without necessary papers.
