Peshawar: A US drone struck a house in a
border village in the lawless North Waziristan tribal region
of northwest Pakistan today, killing at least six Taliban
fighters, sources said.

The drone fired several missiles at the house in
Ghulam Khan, a border town in North Waziristan Agency,
considered a hub of Taliban and al Qaeda operatives.
The house collapsed after the attack.

Local residents rushed to the site and retrieved the
bodies from the rubble, sources said.

The US has carried out at least 90 attacks on
suspected militant targets this year in northwestern Pakistan,
killing a number of people.
