US offers help to end Karachi target-killings

The United States Ambassador to Pakistan, Cameron Munter, has offered cooperation to end target-killing incidents in Karachi.

Karachi: The United States Ambassador to Pakistan, Cameron Munter, has offered cooperation to end target-killing incidents in Karachi.

Munter said that the US is ready to provide support to Sindh police, investigation departments and law-enforcing agencies, The Nation reports.

The US Ambassador also called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan.

Munter appreciated Khan’s return as Sindh Governor, and lauded the role of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in this regard.

He also appreciated Khan’s approach to reconciliation and resolving all issues through dialogue.
