Male: Maldives President Mohamed Waheed will travel to Sri Lanka on a three-day visit on Thursday during which he will hold bilateral talks and focus on trade.
It is Waheed`s first trip to Sri Lanka after assuming office on February 7.
Waheed will meet with Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa as well as the Ambassadors and High Commissioners based there.
He will also hold meetings with some Lankan businessmen.
During his trip, Waheed will share the details of the report by Human Rights Commission of the Maldives about the events of February 6-8 with Rajapaksa.
Waheed assumed power in February after the then President Mohamed Nashhed resigned following largescale protests in Maldives.
