Islamabad: A woman was killed and four
persons were injured when security forces exchanged fire with
armed men trying to rob a convoy of buses in Balochistan in
southwest Pakistan on Wednesday, officials said.

A group of armed men stopped the buses going from
Karachi to Quetta in Kalat area of Balochistan and attempted
to rob the passengers.

Personnel from the Levies militia reached the spot and
began firing at the robbers.

taken to a nearby hospital.

The robbers escaped from the scene, officials said.
Bus owners and operators blocked the Quetta-Karachi
