Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said he will never support the unconstitutional step of carrying out drone strikes in Pakistan.
He said even if an angel comes in uniform to back the issue, he would not support him.
Khan said during his premiership if drone strikes were carried out, the unmanned aircrafts would be shot down, The News reports.
Imran said drone attacks were being carried out with the consent of the Pakistan Government.
Drone strikes are regularly carried out by the US in Pakistan’s tribal areas. The US claims that it is an effective method of targeting terrorists but Pakistan views it as a violation of its sovereignty.
