London: A helpline has been opened in the UK for people who have had close encounters with aliens, marking the first of its kind in the country.
The phone service offers counseling for those who believe they have been contacted or even abducted by extra terrestrials.
Launched by therapist Joanne Summerscales, the Anomalous Mind Management Abductee and Contactee Helpline (AMMACH) has already had dozens of calls from all over the world.
“I get people crying with relief that someone is finally prepared to take them seriously,” the Sun quoted Summerscales, of Langley Mill, East Midlands as saying.
“Some haven’t spoken about experiences in over ten years because they are so afraid of ridicule,” she said.
Summerscales and fellow ET fan Miles Johnston list the calls for research.
“The truth will eventually come out,” she added.
