BCCI stands by Dhoni despite T20 debacle Zeecric Bureau

New Delhi, June 15: A day after India lost to England in their must win clash resulting in their shocking ouster from the T20 World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came out in support of skipper Dhoni.

Talking to reporters, BCCI’s Media and Finance Committee Chairman Rajiv Shukla said that though it is a big loss yet all is not lost and that the upcoming tour of the West Indies should now be the priority.

“We must concentrate on the upcoming West Indies series,” said Shukla.

He also said that Sehwag’s absence was a major reason for India’s early exit from the tournament.

“Sehwag not playing was a big loss,” he said.

Shukla also said that Dhoni is a great captain and that the team possessed the ability of bouncing back.

PLease stop blabbering Shewag etc,,etc..Dhoni had no rights to change the team getting in Rohit, Jadeja & continue Ishant, surely Irfan would have made the difference to WIN , even with luck on your side you do not repeat play the same number on a Black Jack game. Zafar

It was dhoni`s overconfidence because of which we lost, even he forgot his main ability which is wicket keeping

Dhoni still remains to be the best captain. It was the lack of commitment by the opening batsmans that cost us the match. also the bowling attach was worse.

If India had won this match, all these great guys would have sung a different song about Dhoni`s Tactics. When we win Captain is right and when we loose captain is wrong attitude should go first. Remember that victory has thousand fathers while defeat has only an orphaned captain. This is similar to if BITS Pilani finds top ranking in India Today best college survey, it is a great institute and if it did not participate in the rankings from 2005 to 2008 it is a bad institute.

We have lost the match due to worst captaincy by Mr.Dhoni . Few example give below :-
1. Inform batsman like Yuvraj, Yushuf not given enough time to bring the situation under control and when they have reached the filed that time asking run rate was very high. Dhoni (11 from 23 balls Vs WI) and Jadeja (25 from 35 balls Vs Eng) played the senseless slow batting which are responsible for defeat.

2. R P Singh has given the chance in last match only inspite of good performance in IPL and bowler like Ishant Sharma given the enough chance inspite of bad performance. Even Ishant have been given full 4 over quota inspite of bad performance and other good bowlers are ignored.

3. Dhoni must be removed from the team since he is not performing well as a batsman, keeper and we have lost the match due to bad decision as captain.

Hi,

I think BCCI is trying to escape the truth. First of all they should investigate the reason behind this early exit of Indian team form this T20 world cup, then only they can say a any word to nation. For all Indians cricket is our religion and we all are the devotese of this religion.

No body has any right to play with the emotion of thousands of fans. We all want reson to be disclose to all. We know that our team is having all capabilities and potential but we should except the truth also. Those who will learn from their mistakes definaly they all will became sucessfull.
