Big medal haul by Indians in 2nd Asian Grand Prix archery New Delhi: Indian archers added three more golds and a bronze to swell their medal tally on the final day of the second Asian Archery Grand Prix at Bangkok.

Gold medals came India's way in the recurve men and women and compound women team events, while the men's compound team settled for the bronze medal yesterday.

Earlier, India had won four gold, two silver and as many bronze medals in the individual and mixed team events on Thursday, to take its tally from the four-day meet to seven gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

The top-seeded Indian men's recurve team beat Iran in the final via the tie-breaker after the two teams tied 219-219. The Indian trio scored 27 in three arrows while its Iranian counterpart could manage only 26.

The Indian recurve women's outfit turned the table on top-seed Korea 214-211 in the final. The women's compound team outshot Vietnam 223-208 for the third gold medal. The men's compound team, seeded No 1, lost to Vietnam in the semifinals at 222-228 but managed to down Korea 222-220 in the bronze medal play-off.

The men's recurve team had it easy in the quarterfinals going past Vietnam 222-212 and put aside the challenge of Japan 211-208 in the semifinals. The team's 222 in the quarterfinal was the highest score registered by any team in the championship.

Thailand won the bronze beating Japan 209-206 in the play-off.

The women's team, comprising of Deepika Kumari, L Bombayla Devi and Rimil Buriuly, brushed aside Bhutan 216-185 in the quarterfinals and crushed Kazakhstan 218-207 in the semifinals. Kazakhstan won the bronze medal defeating Chinese Taipei 212-193.

The men's compound team lost to Vietnam in the semifinals 222-228 and went into the bronze medal play-off against Korea and won the contest. Thailand won the gold medal edging past Vietnam 225-222 in the final.

The women's compound team went past Hong Kong 224-207 in the semifinals and defeated Vietnam in the final. Thailand won easily against Hong Kong 212-206 for the bronze medal.
