Brett Lee declines acting offers from India London, Jan 11: Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has received a dozen offers for acting in Indian films but was unlikely to accept any of them owing to time constraints.

Lee's song with Asha Bhosle for the album 'Asha and friends' has reached number four in Indian music charts in the first week of its release itself.

"I have about a dozen offers for roles in Bollywood movies. I would love to get involved, but it is difficult because you need 50 or so days to shoot them," he told 'The Times' today.

Lee, however, said he would devote time to write songs for Indian listeners after the World Cup in the West Indies.

"I plan to record an album after the World Cup. I am hoping to write songs that appeal to Indians," he said.

Lee, who plays guitar when he is not concentrating on his cricket, wrote the lyrics for his song with Asha in just 30 minutes when he was in India during the ICC Champions Trophy in October-November last year.

They recorded the track at a studio in Mohali and then hired a hotel room in Mumbai to film the video in which he plays guitar and sings in both English and Hindi.

"We had talked about it for a while, but in the end it happened really quickly," said Lee.

"Asha is the Aretha Franklin of India, so it was amazing to work with her and it is just as amazing to hear the record," he said.
