Mumbai: Driving skills off regular roads would be tested in the Mitsubishi Pajero "Heart in Mouth" rally to be held in and around Belapur in Navi Mumbai on September 6.
"This event is basically a trekking on wheels, similar to trekking on mountains, for owners of the Pajeros who may not have tested this off-road facility of their vehicles", event organiser Shrikant Karani of Sportscraft said at a media conference.
"We are limiting the entries to 40", Karani said, adding the 50-km rally would be held on the Uran road and mining belts in and around Belapur.
HM-Mitsubishi Motors marketing head Pritam Saikia said the event would provide the customers the real capabilities of the four-wheel drive of the Sports Utility Vehicle.
A similar event was held in Chandigarh in June and they wanted to spread it to other centres too, he said.
