New York: Tennis champion Roger Federer has lent his support to his good friend Tiger Woods saying that "the worst is over" for the disgraced golfer.
On Friday, Woods, who disappeared from the public scene after the sex scandal revealing his extramarital affairs, had publicly apologised for cheating on his wife.
Federer believes the worst has passed for Tiger after his public apology.
"Tiger is a good friend of mine. What's happened to him has been hard to watch over the last three months, right down to when he made his apology," Federer told a English language daily.
"I am sure he's headed in a better direction now. The worst has passed," he added.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is said to have headed to Arizona with his family sparking speculations that he has switched rehabs.
The golfer, his wife Elin Nordegren and their two children flew out of Orlando on Saturday night but instead of heading to Mississippi, they went to Arizona, the online website, Radaronline.com, reported.
Earlier the media found him at a rehab centre in Mississippi.
Now, there is speculation about whether Woods has switched rehabs.
