New Delhi: The Indian Archery team will participate in the 3rd Asian Indoor Games to be held in Vietnam from October 30 to November 8.
"Indian archery team consisting of four men and a women in Recurve Division and four men and four women in Compound Division along with four coaches have been selected for the Asian Games," President of Archery Association of India V K Malhotra said.
The selection of the Indian Archery teams has been made on the basis of selection trials held at Sport Authority of India, Eastern Centre, Kolkata on September 20.
"If the archers can perform consistently the way they did in selection trials, I am hopeful they would bring laurels for the country," Malhotra said.
The Recurve Team:
Men: Rajib Basumatary, W Ranjan Singh, Gurucharan Besra, N Ravindra.
Women: Punya Prabha
Compound Team:
Men: M Chinglensana Luwang, Abhishek Verma, L Haridas, Jayanti Lal Nanoma.
Women: Bheigyabati Chanu, Sakro Besra, Vrushali Gorle, Sweeti Kumari
Coach: Lokesh Chand, Ravi Shankar, Harender Kumar Singh, RB Tamang
