New Delhi: Around 140 junior golfers from
eight countries, including India, USA, Thailand and Malaysia
will vie for the top honours during Albatross International
Golf Championships in Gurgaon from November 25.
The three-day event, which will also see participation
from Canada, UAE, Sri Lanka and Korea, will tee off on the at
the Classic Golf Resort.
Juniors like Arshbeer Saini, Arjun Singh, Harshjeet Singh
Sethi and Gurbaaz Takkar would be among the India golfers in
the tournament that would be played over 54 holes with no cut.
Among others, American Jordon Knight, Poom Saksansin of
Thailand, Korean Sun Woo Choi, Sai Ganesh of Dubai and Sri
Lankan Harsha de Silva would add the foreign flavour.
"Our endeavour is to provide the best facilities for the
junior golfers so that they can compete at the international
level. We believe the future champions of Indian golf will
emerge only by providing opportunities and exposure to the
juniors," said Rakesh Chadha of the Albatross Junior Tour.
