London: Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has shrugged off questions concerning the spat between striker Carlos Tevez and Manchester United's Gary Neville in the first leg of the semi-finals of the League Cup.
The Citizens came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to a brace from the Sky Blues' Argentine star, who shared a heated on-pitch exchange with his one-time skipper.
Following Tevez's first goal, Neville - warming up by the touchline - appeared to make a one-fingered gesture at his former team-mate, who promptly responded by signalling the United captain to keep his mouth shut.
The Red Devils' stalwart had recently backed manager Sir Alex Ferguson in his decision not to meet the valuation of the former Corinthians hitman.
"I don't know about this situation," said Mancini, according to the Press Association.
"I only hope that he plays the same way in the second game because he played a big game tonight."
He added: "I am very happy for Carlos.
"He is an ex-Manchester United player so this game was very important for him. To score two goals was excellent."
The FA will reportedly look at photographs taken during the game to determine if any action has to be taken against Neville.
The all-important second leg of the semi-finals will take place at Old Trafford next Wednesday.
