London: Reading sent Liverpool crashing out of the FA Cup when they came from behind for a 2-1 win after extra time in their third-round replay at Anfield on Wednesday.
The Championship (second division) strugglers were losing 1-0 with 30 seconds remaining before equalising with a penalty from Gylfi Sigurdsson four minutes into stoppage time.
Shane Long glanced home Reading's winner in the 10th minute of extra time to give them a stunning victory and a fourth-round tie at Burnley.
Liverpool had taken the lead in stoippage time at the end of the first half when Ryan Bertrand deflected a Steven Gerrard cross into his own net.
In the night's other replay, Newcastle United beat Plymouth ARgfyle 3-0 at St James' Park with a hat-trick from Danish striker Peter Lovenkrands to set up a fourth round tie against West Bromwich Albion.
