Karachi: A Russian paraglider today failed in
his bid to jump safely from the tallest building in the
country here but didn't suffer any major injuries.
Dulri Ruzov was here with his team to pass on a message
of peace in Pakistan and attempted to jump from the rooftop of
the MCB building in the city's biggest business district.
"Unfortunately, I am lightweight and the winds were very
strong today so I was not successful but I hope I have
achieved my task of passing on the message of peace to people
of Pakistan," Ruzov told reporters after his failed bid.
Ruzov was blown away by the strong winds after his
parachute didn't open properly and it got entangled in wires
of an adjacent building.
> But after hanging perilously for sometime Ruzov was
brought down safely and appeared in high spirits.
Ruzov said he had come to Karachi to give a message to
the world that Pakistan was a peaceful place and they should
not isolate it.
Ruzov said he had successfully attempted a jump from a
tall building two weeks ago in Sweden.
"Me and my team travel around the world to pass the
message of peace and we draw attention of the people and media
with our paragliding skills," he added.
