Stosur not concerned over injury burnout Doha: Australia's Samantha Stosur insisted on Thursday that she will not become a victim of her own recent success after her gruelling 2009 schedule was unexpectedly extended by a week.

The 25-year-old from Brisbane clinched her first singles title in Osaka two weeks ago, a win which handed her a place in the Tournament of Champions in Bali which starts on Wednesday.

So far this year, the world number 13 has played 56 singles and 41 doubles matches.

She could play two more doubles here after qualifying for the season-ending WTA Championships with partner Rennae Stubbs.

"I didn't plan on going to Bali. It only happened six days ago," Stosur said.

"But it's a great tournament and I couldn't pass it up. I'll just cut my holiday short by a week before I get ready for the new season in 2010."

Super-fit Stosur, a surprise semi-finalist at the French Open this year, said her title breakthrough at the Japan Open was a relief after almost 10 years on the tour.

"It was joy and relief. I was glad to get it under my belt but I enjoyed every moment of it," she said.
