Kolkata: Archers from ten Commonwealth
countries would be seen in action in the Invitational
Commonwealth Games (CWG) Archery Meet to be held at the Yamuna
Sports Complex in Delhi from March 8.
The five-day event is being organised by the Organising
Committee (OC) in collaboration with the Archery Association
of India as a dress rehearsal for the actual championship in
October, secretary of Archery Association of India, Paresh
Mukherjee said.
This invitational meet would comprise team and individual
events for recurve and compound section both for men and
women.
Bangladesh, England, Wales, Singapore, India, Jersey,
Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Scotland and Malaysia are scheduled to
take part in the meet.
India will take part in all these events, Mukherjee said
adding that twelve players from the country have so far been
confirmed to take part in the event.
Besides them, other probables who are now at the
preparatory camp would also take part in individual events of
this meet, he said.

Recurve (Men): Tarun Deep Rai, Managl Singh Champiah
and Kapil Singh
Recurve (Women): Dola Banerjee, Rimil Buriuly and L
Bombayla Devi
Compound (Men): Chinnaraju Srither, K Rajendra Sanam and
Chungda Sherpa
Compound (Women): Gagandep Bawa, V Gorle and Namita
Yadav
Limba will be the chief coach for the Indian squad.
