New Delhi: Top seed Emily Webley-Smith of Britain scored an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over seventh-seeded Uzbek Alexandra Kolesnichenko to claim the $10,000 women’s International Tennis Federation (ITF) title at the DLTA complex here Saturday.
The Briton thus completed a double, having won the doubles with Kolesnichenko Friday, beating Indian Ashmitha Easwaramurthi and Dalila Jakupovic of Slovakia 6-2, 6-4.
The singles win has fetched Webley-Smith USD 1568 and Kolesnichenko $980 and will split USD 637 with Kolesnichenko for the doubles victory.
