Woods closes with sparkling 63 but too little too late London: Tiger Woods found his touch on the greens at last to card an eight-under-par 63 in the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday.

It was too late to give Woods a chance of winning because he started the day nine strokes off the lead but it was an impressive finish by the world No. 1.

He recorded an eagle at the par-four sixth, where he holed out with a nine-iron from 133 yards when his approach shot landed a few feet from the hole, bounced forward and trickled back into the cup. He also had eight birdies and two bogeys.

"I just made a few more putts today," Woods told reporters after finishing at 12-under 272.

"The last three days I hit about three or five lip-outs per day. All of a sudden I started making putts. That was the difference.”

"The whole idea was to shoot something in the low 60s. Certainly, from where I was at, I couldn't win the tournament."

Woods needed just 25 putts, his lowest total of the week. He did not miss from inside seven feet.
