New York: Disgraced Golf player Tiger
Woods allegedly panicked when he was told that he would have
to take a lie detector test during his sex addiction therapy,
according to a media report.
"He went absolutely ballistic when he was told during
the early days of his treatment at the Gentle Path rehab
program that a polygraph test is required of all patients,"
National Enquirer, an American tabloid, quoted a source as
saying.
Woods, 34, is now believed to be at a sex
rehabilitation centre in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The golfer disappeared from the public scene after a
scandal revealing his extramarital affairs exploded following
an accident on November 27 when Woods crashed his SUV outside
his Florida mansion sustaining minor injuries.
Since then, nineteen women have been linked with
him.
Many of them have come forward with revealing details
about the multiple affairs. There is still speculation whether
his wife, Elin Nordegren will leave him or the couple will
stay together.
"Sex addicts are continual liars, but there's no
lying inside Gentle Path. When Tiger went into therapy he
didn't know that the lie detector was part of the deal," the
source told the tabloid.
The source said: "He (Woods) was so stunned that he
started having anxiety attacks. He began having trouble
sleeping, and the center prescribed medicine to help with the
stress."
At the same time, the media, too, has been criticized
for hounding Woods, desperately trying to find out where is he
and his plan of action to recover from the mess.
"In there, you have to come clean. They make you take
another test, and another, until you have told the truth about
everything. After that, they know there is no place to hide."
