Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday
said about 17 people have so far died of swine flu in the
state and 27 districts have been affected by the dreaded
disease.
In a written reply, Health Minister Anant Kumar Singh
told the state Assembly that maximum cases of the virus have
been reported from state capital, Lucknow (356).
A total of 218 cases were reported from Ghazibad, 215
from Gautam Budhnagar and Kanpur (32), the minister said.
Singh said efforts were being made to get vaccines for
the virus from the centre and the state government was taking
measures to check the virus.
