Muzaffarnagar: More than 60 primary schools
were found shut and 250 headmasters and teachers absent from
work when senior government officials went for a surprise
check in the district.
The district basic education officer Ravinder told
media persons that strict action would be taken against those
not reporting for work.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate and other officers of the
department conducted a surprise check across the district.
Meanwhile, a youth was held with 19 fake currency
notes, in denomination of Rs 500, when he went to deposit
money in a cooperative bank in Kairana town of the district.
Police are investigating the matter.
