Dehradun: Nearly 33 jawans of Assam Rifles
were injured today, when the bus in which they were travelling
fell into a gorge, police said.
According to Station Officer Srinagar police station
Pratipal Singh Rautela, the mishap took place at Kaliyasaun in
Pauri district, when the bus carrying the jawans of Assam
Rifles fell into a gorge.
The jawans were returning to Dehradun after completing
their training at Joshimath, police said adding that when the
bus reached near Kaliyasaun, the driver lost control over the
bus, while negotiating a turn.
Rautela said, of the 33 injured jawans, who were admitted
to Shrikot hospital, 13 were discharged after administering
them first-aid, while 20 of them are still undergoing
treatment.
The Station Officer also said that no casualty has been
reported so far.
