Jammu: With the detection of four more
cases of swine flu, the total number of people infected from
the deadly disease has gone up to to 114 in Jammu and Kashmir,
health department officials said.
Five persons have died due to swine flu in the state
so far.
Four reports have arrived at Srinagar and Jammu Nodal
offices from National Institute of Communicable Diseases
(NICD), New Delhi and all of them have tested positive for
H1N1 virus today, they said.
While one woman tested positive in Aknoor belt of
Jammu, one doctor and two youths tested positive for
flu in Srinagar.
All of them have been admitted to the hospitals in
Jammu and Srinagar and put on Tamiflu, they said adding their
condition is stable.
With detection of these new cases, the total of swine
flu cases have gone up to to 114 in Jammu and Kashmir with 66
such cases reported from Jammu and 48 cases from Kashmir
valley.
R S Charak, who has been appointed as a Nodal
officer for dealing with swine flu matters, said that
government has enough stocks of medicines to treat the
influenza.
