Sant Kabirnagar (UP): A seven-year-old boy was arrested from Ruihada village for failing to comply with court summons in connection with a case, police said here.
Sonu, witness of a clash that broke out between two groups of people during the Holi festival about two years ago, was arrested yesterday for failing to appear in a fast track court in Khalilabad, they said.
The incident occurred after one group threw acid on the other side injuring several people during the festival, they said, adding the injured who had filed an FIR had made Sonu a witness in the case.
The boy was arrested in compliance with the court orders but was later released on bail after giving an affidavit that he would appear at the court on next hearing, they said.
