Udupi: Nine persons, including
five women, were killed and two others seriously injured when
a car in which they were travelling collided with a private
bus near Kundapur in Karnataka's Udupi district today, police
said.
The mishap occurred at Kambadiakone, 30 km from Kundapur,
when the car, on its way to Bhatkal from Managalore, collided
with the bus coming from Andhra Pradesh, they said.
All the nine victims died on the spot, DSP Viswanath
said, adding that the two seriously injured were rushed to a
government hospital in Kundapur.
The deceased were yet to be identified, police said.
