Samastipur/Begusarai: Two doctors who
were abducted from neighbouring Samastipur district was freed
on Monday in Bihar's Begusarai district.
Dr A K Sahai, Orthopaedic surgeon and Dr Santosh Kumar
Singh, physician, were abducted yesterday, the police said.
The unknown abductors also stabbed and injured Dr Sahai
who was admitted to a hospital at the time of release,
officials said.
Unidentified gunmen had yesterday kidnapped them at
Daddanpura village in the district, SP Ajitabh Kumar said.
A group of three gunmen kidnapped orthopaedic surgeon A K
Sahay and physician Santosh Kumar Sahni when they were on the
way to Muzaffarpur on a motorcycle, he said.
A dispute over a plot of land at Samastipur town was
suspected to be the reason for the abduction, the police said.
