Alarm over pro-Khalistan posters in Delhi Zeenews Bureau

New Delhi: A sudden emergence of pro-Khalistan posters at the national capital’s famous Gurudwara Bangla Sahib caused an alarm on Saturday, with both the Congress as well as the BJP expressing concern.

The Delhi Police immediately removed the posters from the entrance wall of the gurudwara, following a complaint that the posters called for pro-Khalistan supporters to congregate at Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab on February 12 – the birth anniversary of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who started the Khalistan movement demanding a separate independent nation.

Bhindranwale died in Operation Blue Star in 1984.

What raised eyebrows was a call in the posters for supporters to complete ‘the unfinished task’ – apparently the creation of a separate nation.

Sources said the posters were apparently put up at the behest of SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann.

Reacting to the development, BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy said it was a “matter of concern and that the Central government should take action again separatist powers” trying to raise their heads again.

Sikhs cannot organsie the death and bith anniversries of their own heros and saints.
Why deosnt Zee news and other indian media tell their viewers that Airports, Universities, hospitals and what not, has been named after Indira or Rajeev Gandhi who were responsible for killing of thousands of sikhs in cold blood. Does this is not a matter of serious concern.
A peace prize is named after Indira Gandhi, female hitler ,who is mother of all the indian problems. What a joke

All you Canadian and American citizens need to understand something - the Khalistan movement is over. They`re welcome to carve one out of the US or Canada but the people of Punjab all consider themselves Indians today. And for the record the best prime minister India has ever had is a Sikh and that`s proof of how much the Sikh community is a part of India. There`s been a lot of injustice and violence in the past towards minorities, immigrants etc but again... that`s in the past. Today`s generation isn`t hostage to something that happened over 25 years ago.

India has to move away from this fake identity. It does not have a common langague or a common culture. The multicultural and multi-ethnic color of this land need to be preserved. And that can only happen if each constituents of it has free rights to prosper. It has to adopt a union system where it does not impose any religion or language on everybody. The concerns of Sikhs, Nagas, Kashmiris, Naxals, Tamils, Bodos etc are genuine. They need to be respected. Otherwise its basically a re-colonization of India by upper caste hindu minded leaders.

As long as Sikh are not treated like they were treated by Indira Khan and Rajiv khan in 80s then we don`t really need any separate land.

Parties like SAD(A) are a big danger for the country and the sikh community in particular. Government which itself is under a sikh leader, Manmohan Singh, should take some serious steps against parties like it, so it cannot send sikh community back to the period of hell it once witnessed in 80`s and early 90`s.

I wonder when will someone realize what`s wrong is talking about self sovereign power. Sikhs do not want to be slaves in a circus which is the Indian Democracy.

Quit natural, if Maharashtra`s leaders creating situation worst than Kashmiri then remaining of old fire from ashes will get chance to come up.Or in country where every problem covered under Pakistanophobia and Muslim and Musalman there is wide chances to let come up old problems and troubles including separatism .
