Mumbai: Realty firm Ansal Properties and
Infrastructure on Monday said it is planning to set up a 70-acre
biotech park in Lucknow and is in talks with many companies
interested in setting up facilities in the proposed park.
The proposed biotech park is being planned within the
company's mega township 'Sushant Golf City' in Lucknow (Uttar
Pradesh), Ansal said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"We are hopeful that leading companies in biotech sector
will be interested in setting up central processing facilities
or units for manufacturing or R&D activities in our biotech
park and are in talks with many companies in the biotech
sector for this," company's Executive Director P N Misra said.
Ansal Properties will do all the development work and
create infrastructure required, while individual units would
invest in setting up their facilities in the park.
The biotech park would comprise three zones, one for
housing individual biotech firms, one for a central processing
centre and one for residential units for the employees who
would be working there.
