Hyderabad: An Army officer allegedly assaulted two traffic constables following an argument over parking his car on the busy RP Road here today, police said.

Traffic constables Surender Babu and Sambasiva were allegedly beaten up by one Army officer Sanjay, when they told him not to park his car in the 'No Parking' zone, even as the Army officer (Colonel) reportedly abused them and insisted on parking the vehicle at the same place, they said.

After the incident, the two traffic cops lodged a complaint with the Mahankali Police, a police office said.

A case has been registered against the army officer for obstructing government employees from discharging their duties, the police officer said.

"The case is under investigation and once the probe is over further action will be initiated," he added.
