Bihar govt to honour 124 police personnel

Patna: Bihar government has decided to award 124 police personnel, including nine IPS officers, for their contribution in maintaining internal security.

The policemen selected for the award include Additional Director General (CID) Raj Vardhan Sharma, DIG (Sahabad) AK Ambedkar, DIG (Personnel) J S Gangwar, Deputy Inspector General (Munger) Amit Kumar and the then Senior Superintendent of police (Patna) Kundan Krishnan (now on central deputation).

The names of Bhagalpur Superintendent of police B S Meena, Gaya SP Sushol Khopde and Siwan SP Amit Kumar Jain also figured in the list of the awardees.

Three Deputy Superintendent of police rank officers, Dilnawaz Ahmad (Phulwari), Anjani Kumar Singh (Jehanabad) and Mithilesh Kumar (headquarters, Jehanabad), have also been selected.
