Bhubaneswar: BJB (Autonomous) College here was closed sine die after ten persons, including seven police personnel were injured during a clash between two groups of students who indulged in stone-throwing today, police said.

"In a bid to restore peace and normalcy in the campus, the authorities closed the college sine die", its principal Ranjit Ghosh.

A clash broke out between two groups of students over selection of guests for the college's annual function.

While one group locked the main gate and staged a dharna in front of the college, another group opposed it. This led to a clash between them, police said.

As the police attempted to pacify the two groups, some of the personnel, including DCP Himanshu Lal sustained injuries as stones were thrown at them by the students.

Three students were injured besides the seven policemen.
