Patna: The BJP Bihar unit on Tuesday criticised
AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi for his remarks that the
NDA government in the state has failed to implement centrally
sponsored schemes.
"The Bihar government does not require a certificate from
the Yuvraj of the Congress party about good governance," BJP
state general secretary Rajendra Gupta and national media
in-charge of the party Sanjay Mayukh told reporters here.
"Rahul Gandhi before speaking against the state
government should take action against people beating up
Biharis and north Indians in Congress-ruled states
particularly in Maharashtra," they said.
The Congress' support to the erstwhile RJD government had
led "jungle raj" to prevail for one-and-a-half decades in the
state, they said.
"If Rahul Gandhi is seriously interested in developing
the state he should use his clout in providing special
category status to Bihar," the BJP leaders said.
Stating that the NDA government had initiated a number of
measures to ameliorate the condition of the poor, they said
the Congress leader would not gain much by making helicopter
visits to different parts of the state.
