Dehri-on Sone/Bhagalpur: A black flag demonstration by a Muslim outfit was held on Tuesday at Bihar's Bhagalpur district where AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi addressed Youth Congress leaders.

Over 100 members of the Muslim United Front took out a procession carrying black flags from Tatarpur to Sandish area in the district demanding implementation of the Sachar Committee and Liberhan Commission reports.

The demonstrators, led by district president of the organisation Abu Kaiser, were taken into custody near Ghantaghar chowk in the district, police said.

In another incident, some youths, who were denied entry to the meeting ground where Gandhi delivered his address, blocked road raising anti-Rahul slogans and tore banners and posters that were put to welcome the Congress leader to Bhagalpur, they said.

The police used baton to disperse them, they added.
