Kolkata: At a function to present medals to the deserving police officers of the state, West Bengal Chief Minister (CM) Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee warned Kolkata residents of a possible terrorist attack, asserting that they are hiding in the city.

"Terrorists are hiding in the city and Kolkata is not free from fear of a terrorist attack. We are very much concerned about it," he said.

Bhattacharjee, who is also in-charge of the Home (Police) Department, urged the task force in the city to be more alert.

The West Bengal CM also praised the performance of the joint forces in the Maoist-hit districts of West Midnapore, Purulia and Bankura in the state. (ANI)
