CCL to provide free medical service to two old age homes

Ranchi: Union Minister of state for Coal SriPrakash Jaiswal on Sunday said the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) would provide free medical services to two old age homes in Ranchi and adopt eleven blind girls.

Launching certain 'Corporate social responsibility' schemes of the public sector unit here, the minister said CCL would bear the medical expenses of the inmates of 'Nivedita Niketan' and 'Banaprastha Ashram'.

It would also adopt 11 blind girl students of Brajkishore Netraheen Balika Vidyalaya, he said, while distributing wheel chairs and tri-cycles to 10 handicapped persons.

The minister also gave educational kits and Rs 1,500 each to 20 students belonging to BPL families.

CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director, R K Saha, assured the minister that the company would set new records in performance and service to society.
