Raipur: Chhattisgarh government has ordered a probe into an IAS officer's alleged misbehaviour with a lady officer.

Official sources said today that the state has decided to initiate probe into the matter involving IAS officer and former collector of Kanker district Avinash Champavat who allegedly misbehaved with a lady officer working in the same district.

A committee headed by a senior lady officer would conduct inquiry into the alleged incident.

Sources said some days back, a lady officer working in Kanker district had alleged that the collector Avinash Champavat had misbehaved with her. When she objected to his behaviour, the collector started creating lot of problems for her.

The concerned lady had then complained to the top officers in the government and also informed the Chief Minister Raman Singh.

Sources said after the complaint was made to the Chief Minister, Champavat was removed as collector.

Avinsh Champavat was not available for comment while his wife Neha who is an IPS officer refused to say anything on the matter.
