Mumbai: Encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma's
lawyer on Friday submitted before a court here a transcript of the
purported conversation between gangster Chhota Shakeel and
film producer Nazim Rizvi about eliminating Sharma.
The transcript was submitted by Sharma's lawyer Shrikant
Shivade before the court which was hearing the bail plea of
Sharma who was arrested in January this year for his
involvement in the alleged fake encounter of Ramnarayan Gupta,
a suspected aide of gangster Chhota Rajan.
"In the conversation, recorded in 2000, Shakeel had
told Rizvi that he would not let Sharma and two other
encounter specialists get away as they had eliminated several
of his aides," Shivade told agency.
He alleged certain senior police officials are hand in
glove with the gangsters to falsely implicate Sharma and
malign his image.
The court would hear Sharma's plea on February 8.
Ramnarayan alias Lakhan Bhaiyya was shot dead allegedly
