Bangalore: With the internal crisis in BJP's
state unit having blown over, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa
should immediately get back to work and complete relief and
rehabilitation work in flood affected areas, badly affected
due to the wrangling, JDS chief H D Kumaraswamy said on Sunday.
"From day one I have been telling them this is not the time
to create unnecessary problems. I had requested both groups to
sort out their problems and try to concentrate on flood relief
work", he told a news agency.
He said the BJP was involved in a "big drama" for the past
14 days, resulting in a waste of valuable time, which should
instead have gone towards providing relief to flood victims.
Taking a dig at the Yeddyurappa government, he said it was
not enough to simply lay foundation stones and make oral
promises of building houses, but to expedite the work.
He said he was congratulating the BJP on behalf of the
people for resolving the crisis, as it would mean they could
get back to flood relief and rehabilitation work, "which is
the need of the hour."
