Bhubaneswar: Claiming that the Congress
was eyeing the support of BJD's 14 Lok Sabha MPs, a ruling BJD
MP today rejected its demand for a CBI probe into the alleged
mining scam in Keonjhar district.
"Once they are in charge of investigation in the
mining case, they (CBI) may allow Congress politicians in the
scam go scot free. It is like committing political suicide,"
BJD MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra said.
Terming the demand by Congress besides the BJP as a
"mark of frustration", Mohapatra asked "What happened to
Bofors case and Taj Corridor cases?"
He alleged that the Congress would not hesitate to
"blackmail" the BJD if the mining scam probe was handed over
to the CBI.
