Ranchi: CRPF today expressed satisfaction
over the joint anti-Maoists operations being conducted along
with police forces of Jharkhand and West Bengal.
"Jharkhand police and the CRPF personnel are doing a good
job. We are satisfied with the ongoing operations. We hope the
operation will be successful," Director General of the CRPF,
Vikram Srivastav, told newsmen here.
Srivastav and the CRPF's Special DG, Vijay Raman, who
visited the state yesterday, held meetings with senior
Jharkhand police officers in the backdrop of stepped up
anti-Maoist operations in Bokaro, Khunti and East and West
Singhbhum districts.
Besides carrying out a massive operation in areas
bordering Jharkhand and West Bengal, the securitymen conducted
operations in the Maoist-hit Jhumra hills in Bokaro and
stumbled on a huge cache of explosives and netted a top Maoist
yesterday.
