New Delhi: The national capital Sunday
recorded the hottest day for this month in the last six years
with the mercury shooting up to 39.2 degree celsius, keeping
residents mostly indoors.
The heat recorded today was the "highest in March in
the past six years, seven degrees above normal," said an
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum of 36.1
degree celsius.
The Met department has forecast similar conditions
tomorrow with the high settling at 39 celsius.
The minimum on Sunday, however, stayed at 19.5 degree
celsius.
